Negotiations extended until July 21

Negotiations regarding the redevelopment of town-owned land at the beachfront continue.
Today, during a special council meeting, members of council extended the negotiation period between the town and Bayloc Developments Inc. until July 21.
The town will provide further information when available.

Public engagement and beachfront redevelopment
Some in the community have been stating there is a need for public consultation on the beachfront redevelopment proposal by Bayloc.
Council’s position is that the public has already been extensively consulted in the creation of the Downtown Master Plan, Official Plan policies, urban design guidelines and zoning amendments for the beachfront area.
