The Wasaga’s Finest Citizen Awards honor exceptional individuals who dedicate their time, talent, and energy to enriching the social, cultural, and civic life of Wasaga Beach. Each year, this program celebrates the invaluable contributions of residents who go above and beyond for our community.
Award Categories & Criteria
The Civic Awards Program offers four award categories: Athletics, Finest Citizen of the Year, Senior of the Year and Emergency Services. Awards in any of the following categories shall only be given when warranted in the opinion of the Committee, based on the nomination submitted.
Nominees may be eligible to receive awards in multiple categories if each nomination meets the specific criteria for that category. However, nominees cannot receive awards in multiple categories for the same body of work. Once a nominee has received an award, they are not eligible to receive another award in a different category for the same service, work, or contribution described in the winning application.
