The Town of Wasaga Beach is nestled along the pristine shores of South Georgian Bay and is home to over 23,000 full-time residents. That population swells significantly in the summer months when cottagers and vacationers arrive. Our community is one of the fastest growing communities in Ontario having witnessed a 13% growth between 2015-2019.
The town is home to a diverse group of residents, including young families and retirees. Housing options in Wasaga Beach range from single-detached homes to townhouses, as well as several condominiums and apartments.
Five commercial neighbourhoods support the town with a sixth emerging on the west-end, as well as other shops and stores located throughout the community. Over 20% of residents are employed by tourism-related industries (accommodation, food and retail) with other notable jobs being offered in administration and healthcare.
Wasaga Beach is home to three elementary schools, a private international academy, medical centres, and a municipal transit system. The town offers an arena, public library, numerous parks, and an extensive trail network.
We are home to the World's Longest Freshwater Beach. We pride ourselves on offering unique beachside hospitality for residents and visitors alike. Wasaga Beach is a recreational paradise and a premier place to live in Simcoe County.
The town is approximately 30 minutes Northwest of the City of Barrie and 15 minute East of the Town of Collingwood.
