Back to SearchOn behalf of the Town of Wasaga Beach, the Ontario Clean Water Agency (OCWA) will be conducting water distribution system maintenance. Municipal water users are advised that the flushing or swabbing of drinking watermains will take place during the evening at the following locations and time periods:

Service Description: Watermain Swabbing
Service Time Period: Oct 15th – 19th 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
Please be aware that during watermain flushing and swabbing, residents may experience reduced to no water pressure and discoloration (brown / red) water, or perhaps even no water for short periods of time. Please refrain from using water during the above noted times.
To alleviate the discolored water, please isolate (shut off) the household’s main water supply internally, bypass water softeners and filtration systems if possible during the work periods, and once work is complete, open a cold water tap in your home (preferable one without a screen such as a bathtub faucet) until the water runs clear. Before doing laundry, it is recommended that the taps are opened and water is flushed to clear beforehand.
