The Ontario Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries is responsible for administering the Public Libraries Act and statutory grants under the Act.
According to the Act, Ontario Public Libraries are under the management and control of a Board appointed by the municipality. The Wasaga Beach Public Library Board has nine volunteer members and one Council Representative. The Board votes in an executive, including Chair and Vice-Chair positions.
The Board appoints a chief executive officer (CEO), who has general supervision over and direction of the operations of the public library and its staff.
The Wasaga Beach Public Library Board must meet a minimum of seven times per year. Regular Board meetings are scheduled on the third Monday of the month at 6:00 p.m.
