Statement from Mayor Brian Smith thanking Wasaga Distribution, municipal staff and first responders

Today, Mayor Brian Smith issued the following statement thanking Wasaga Distribution, municipal staff and first responders for their extraordinary and ongoing efforts in response to last week's ice storm:

“On behalf of Council, I want to send a big thank you out to all of the hardworking municipal staff who helped our community and citizens get through last week’s ice storm. From the men and women at Wasaga Distribution and in the Town’s Public Works department, to the Town’s Fire Department, OPP and paramedics – thank you. We see you and we are grateful for all you do, working around the clock when needed, to keep us safe. As the cleanup continues around Town and across our region this week, it is very clear how fortunate we are to have such incredible teams of people looking out for our wellbeing.”
