Free shuttle service from Playland Parking Lot during Burton Cummings and Blue Rodeo concerts will help ensure guests have a fun, worry-free concert experience
Wasaga Beach – The Town of Wasaga Beach is making it easier for residents and visitors to enjoy the Breaking the Ice Festival, which begins Saturday, February 10 with a sold-out NHL Alumni Game and a first-come, first-serve NHL Alumni autograph session at the new Wasaga Stars Arena and Wasaga Beach Public Library.
Winners of multiple Juno Awards and Canadian Music Industry Hall of Fame inductees, Burton Cummings and Blue Rodeo, are also set to headline separate concerts as part of the show-stopping line-up that will kick off the Town of Wasaga Beach’s 50th-anniversary celebrations and mark the grand opening of the Town’s new twin-pad arena and library.
Throughout the Breaking the Ice Festival, there are over 20 free, age-friendly events, music shows, public skates and other activities catering to kids, families and citizens of all ages.
Town introduces free shuttle service
To make it easier for residents and visitors to enjoy the festival, all municipal parking lots will offer free parking. In addition, the Town has organized a free shuttle service on February 17 and 18 to move guests to and from the Wasaga Stars Arena during the live performances by Burton Cummings and Blue Rodeo. The free shuttle service will run between the Wasaga Stars Arena and the Playland Parking Lot, located near Beach Area 1.
Have fun, keep our air and water clean
The Town is also asking residents and guests to carpool while attending events, when possible, to help avoid traffic congestion near the venue and reduce the environmental footprint of the festival.
